University of Holguín adopts measures guided by the MES

Since March 24, the University of Holguín (Uho) has been implementing several actions after announcing the suspension of classes until April 20, one of the measures announced by the Cuban Government to confront the new Coronavirus SAR CoV- 2.
 
According to a statement issued by the Institutional Communication Directorate of the UHo, in line with the special indication issued by the Ministry of Higher Education, as of this Wednesday, March 25, both undergraduate and postgraduate courses in all types of courses (regular daytime, meeting and distance courses) in the four headquarters of the UHo, as well as in its 10 centers and three university branches will recess all the teaching activities.

It will be implemented the non-face-to-face modality, for which the methodological guidelines, the teaching materials and study guides prepared by the teaching staff will be taken into account, so that the students meet the objectives of the semester.

The document refers that it will continue to work on the organization and assurances of the process of conducting the entrance exams to Higher Education in close coordination with the Ministry of Education and the training agencies.

The university community must also be attentive to the institutional profiles of the UHo on Facebook and Twitter and the official website www.uho.edu.cu, as well as the local media, channels through which the relevant information will be informed.

It will also be available the telephone numbers of the management positions of each headquarters: Celia Sánchez Manduley 24-481712, Oscar Lucero Moya 24-481379, Manuel Fajardo 24-425284, José de la Luz and Caballero 24-480268.

Dr. C. Isabel Cristina Torres Torres, rector of the academic institution, urged the entire university community to comply with the targeted measures and take extreme hygienic-sanitary measures to contain the new coronavirus.
