ExpoHolguin 2020 trade fair, an option for business alliances

The ExpoHolguin 2020 trade fair will take place from March 16 to 20 in this city of eastern Cuba in order to boost the national market, consolidate socialist state companies and attract foreign investment.
 
The event will arouse the presentation of the offers and demands of the national entrepreneurs, the state and non-state sector as well as those from abroad.

Hilda Santiesteban, director of the Holguin-Las Tunas delegation of the Chamber of Commerce, pointed out that this edition of ExpoHolguin is sponsored by Copa Airlines, which started regular flights to this destination in 2016, and the Spanish chain Iberostar, which operates the Iberostar Selection Holguin hotel and the next opening of the Almirante Selection at Guardalavaca beach.

Santiesteban added that so far around 70 entities from various ministries in the modalities of exhibitors and professional visitors have confirmed their attendance to the event.

The trade fair is a steadfast letter of presentation for national and local manufactures, as there are huge potentialities in the territory. Furthermore, work is being carried out in the productive linkage and on perfecting the production of exportable items in order to obtain the necessary income for the progress of the region, she added.

The meeting will serve for Holguín to manage the increase in exportable funds and their potentials in the foreign market and trade, including the different variants of obtaining nickel, zeolite, ferrous and total scrap metals, bronze, copper, aluminum, charcoal, coffee, sugar, crooked tobacco, live angula and citrus fruits, among others.

With headquarters at the ExpoHolguin fairgrounds, the event will be attended by the main exporting entities of the province, including the Mechanical Company 'Heroes of July 26’ and the Ernesto Che Guevara Nickel and Cobalt Plant, the Sugarcane harvester factory “60 Anniversary”, GEOMINERA Holguin and the Horticulture enterprise Wilfredo Peña.

The agenda also includes the launching of products and services by the different entities, as well as conferences on topics on economic issues, such as the productive chain, service exports and the development of industrial areas, among others, said Gabriel Perez, specialist of the Chamber of Commerce in this province.
 
The event will be dedicated to the 300 years of the town of Holguin and to the young people involved in the communication campaign Más Holguineros Más Podemos.
