The Holguín publishing house Ediciones Holguín will present six books including humor, essay, testimony, research and children's literature during the Havana Book Fair, to be held in Havana from February 6 to 16.

Kenya Leyva, editor of the publishing house, said that the presentation of the book "Memory of the 80s. A cultural decade" will take place on February 13th in the Alejo Carpentier Hall. The volume addresses, through the testimony of various intellectuals, events of importance in that area in the territory, such as the genesis of the Holguín City Prize and the consolidation of its editorial.

The space will also include the presentation of the books Quien bien te quiere te hará reír (Whoever loves you will make you laugh) by Onelio Escalona; Patria: espíritu y modernidad en José Martí (Homeland: spirit and modernity in José Martí), by a group of authors; as well as "Holguinero en la música", by renowned musicologist Zenobio Hernández and Carmen Mora.

On the other hand, the Dora Alonso hall will welcome the presentation of the books “Balgamel and the kingdom of the Fables”, by Kenia Leyva Hidalgo and “The talisman and other stories”, selection of stories by Hans Christian Andersen, as part of the Colección Palmiche.

Created in 1986, when the winning titles of the Holguín City Prize in poetry, narrative, essay and testimony were published, Ediciones Holguín preserves its mission of promoting the work of the creators of the territory in different themes, while publishing volumes of great figures of universal literature, to the satisfaction of Cuban readers.
