University of Holguín gets ready for International Congress

The University of Holguín is getting ready to participate in the twelfth International Congress of Higher Education University 2020, to be held from February 10 to 14 in Havana, Cuba.
The Holguín delegation is composed of 39 delegates, who will exchange with other academics around the world and expose the work of the UHo about the social, scientific and extension relevance of their undergraduate and postgraduate programs, as well as its contribution to the demands of the territory.
During the event the UHo will present 39 papers, whose topics are related to the actions of trade unions, young student science, training of education professionals, didactics of pedagogical and technical sciences, organization by processes, the challenges and perspectives of higher education and extension, among others.

Rafael Lorenzo Martín, methodologist of the Directorate of Science, Technology and Innovation, said that among the works to be presented, it stands out the research carried out by the student Daniel Salas González on the evaluation of the rheological characteristics of the binder used in asphalt mixtures in the province of Holguín.
“The event, which will be held under the motto The University and the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, constitutes a space to socialize the main results of our University in the last two years and at the same time to establish strategic alliances in order to boost the university-environment and work relationship with other research centers and national and foreign universities,” said Lorenzo Martín.
The Holguín delegation is also composed of professors and students from the University of Moa and Medical Sciences, as well as members of the Education, Science and Sports union.
