Holguín’s Cultural Property Fund: projections for 2020

The Holguín subsidiary of the Cuban Fund of Cultural Assets (FCBC), one of the most outstanding nationwide, established the work projections for the current year after analyzing the results achieved in 2019 in correspondence with its Commercial Strategy.
Manuel Hernández Ramos, director of the FCBC in Holguín, said that in the recently concluded period they exceeded historical records, which includes about 124 percent compliance with the export plan.
Roberto Leyva Serrano, commercial deputy director, explained that the company is ready to develop the Iberoamerican Handicraft Fair Iberoarte, Art for Mom and Art for Dad fairs, in order to exceed 40 million pesos in revenue.
Hernández Ramos insisted on the need to look for innovative edges that allow consolidating the work and expanding the Fund's projects.
In this regard, he referred to the work carried out in the tourist pole of Ramón de Antilla and the main restoration actions carried out in other entities of the province, such as La Periquera Provincial Museum, the Colonial Theater of Gibara, the Saratoga Hotel, the Dairy Company of Levisa, the Holguín Railroad Terminal and several buildings in Guamuta, community of the Turquino Plan.
Hernández Ramos explained that they should look for economic mechanisms to reduce the price of goods through concrete options.
Fernando Morgan, of the Development Office of the Headquarters of the FCBC, noted that the productive chain will enhance import substitution and sustainable local development, which is a priority.
The impact on the territories will not only be economic, they will also recognize their work in the sociocultural area and link it to the introduction of science and technology in terms of innovation, Morgan added.
The subsidiary of the FCBC in the province of Holguín intends for 2020 to continue with the defense of the aesthetic and heritage values of the territory, to increase the work of the technical-artistic commissions regarding quality and its relationship with prices, as well as to strengthen discipline and internal control.
They must also be inserted in the commercialization of works and services through the Virtual Store of the Fund, reduce the cost of productions, without violating the basic principles of supply and demand, and strengthen compliance with the Law of National Symbols.
