Islazul Group in Holguin to Improve its Facilities

An improvement and development plan until 2030 is underway at the Islazul Holguin Branch, which will allow making its tourism product more competitive.
The investment project includes the five hotels belonging to the Islazul Group: Pernik, El Bosque, Mirador de Mayabe, Miraflores and Don Lino, and the hotel “Pragua” of next incorporation, as well as its Sales Agency and a new headquarters for the Branch, explained Javier Fernando Almaguer Pratts, deputy director of operations of the tourism entity.
The project is still under gestation, all reconciled with the Tourism Immobiliary Company (Inmotur), while working in the preparation of the technical task, the conceptual ideas and its implementation, as in the case of the Villa Don Lino, where repairs works will be carried out in the traditional cabins, the construction of a Jacuzzi for 10 people and a galleon for night club, bar, specialized restaurant and snack, among other large-scale actions.
The plan for Mirador de Mayabe includes the construction of 22 rooms with technology of masonry cabins, whose standards must satisfy the four stars category, in addition to a new swimming pool for adults and children and the manufacture of a mountain canopy tur, which starts its launch from the highest areas of the Villa to the Mayabe Valley, as an adventure and activity sport that allows the client to appreciate the natural beauty of the place in all its splendor.
El Bosque will improve its accommodation capacities with another pool, barbecue and the construction of public toilets in the area of the current pool, among other actions.
The most immediate construction action in the Pernik hotel is the completion of the capital repair of its swimming pool in progress several months ago; as well as renovation works in the central kitchen.
Construction works in the "Miraflores" will be focused on gradually increasing the standard of the facility and its services and raising the category of two to three stars in the modality of city hotel operation.
Islazul in Holguin aims to achieve sustainable rates of tourist growth through more effective marketing actions and increase competitiveness in the markets by diversifying its offers.
