About thirty Holguín companies are participating in the 16th edition of the International Fair Expocaribe 2019, based in Santiago de Cuba, in order to expand the business opportunities of this northeastern territory.
Until June 21, the representatives of the leading companies of Holguín will promote their commercial opportunities in a context of growing alliances with the Caribbean and the necessary expansion of exports, said Idania Ricardo Leal, vice president of the Provincial Administration Council for the Economy.
In statements to the local newspaper ¡ahora!, Ricardo Leal stressed that ExpoCaribe is the ideal framework to launch new products and show the potential for exportable products and services, as well as strengthen the business network of the eastern region.
In the first days of Expo Caribe, in the Business Forum of the Greater Caribbean, the Holguín commission presented the local experiences of development and the exchange and economic advance facilities provided by the province.
Of the companies attending ExpoCaribe 2019, it highlights the participation of the Holguín Dairy Company, whose products were praised by Rubén Ramos Arrieta, vice president of the Chamber of Commerce of the Republic of Cuba, who assured the support of that agency with technical information and training.
Other companies attending ExpoCaribe are the "Héroes del 26 de Julio" Mechanical Company and the "60 Aniversario de la Revolución de Octubre" sugarcane harvester enterprise, of which the Cuban president Miguel Díaz-Canel, recognized its potential to export, substitute imports and promote productive linkage.
Friday´s agenda includes the launching of the 16th Trade Fair ExpoHolguín 2020, which seeks alliances to promote the market, the consolidation of the socialist state enterprise and the imports substitution.
ExpoCaribe 2019 convened around 80 companies from 25 countries, as well as chambers and trade promoters from several Caribbean states, as an accurate and safe way to strengthen the regional ties of all members of the region.
