Minister of Education Tours Educational Centers in Holguín

The Minister of Education Ena Elsa Velázquez visited the University of Holguin, where she exchanged with future pedagogues. / Photos: FB profile of the provincial Education directorate As part of a tour of the province of Holguín by the Council of State and Ministers, led by its president Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez, DrC. Ena Elsa Velázquez Cobiella, Minister of Education, visited several educational centers, especially those dedicated to the teachers training.
The tour started at the José de la Luz y Caballero University branch of this province, where she held a meeting with teachers and students of pedagogical careers. In this scenario she stressed the need to attend more accurately the location of future education professionals in their period of work experience, as well as once graduated their incorporation into the educational centers.
She also praised the excellent integration that exists between the Center of High Studies and the educational sector in the territory, which has contributed to advance in the Third Improvement of the general education system in this eastern region Cuba, a process in which the province stands out for being one of the most collaborated with the development of required materials.
In frank exchange with the students, she discussed the importance of the teacher's work and answered some of the concerns of the young people in training.
The tour also includes a visit to the José Martí Pedagogical School, where more than 1,300 students in 14 specialties are trained as teachers.
