Int’l Conference Begins in Holguin

Innovation and sustainable development address the ninth edition of the International Scientific Conference of the University of Holguin, taking place here from April 24 to 26 at the Club Amigo Atlantico Guardalavaca hotel.
The facility, located in the Holguin tourist destination, welcomes more than 500 participants, including professionals from universities in twenty countries.
Dr. Miguel Cruz Ramirez, vice chancellor of the center of high studies, highlighted the growing participation of foreign researchers which, together with the representatives of Cuban universities and the presence of more than 120 companies, provide quality to the debates of the eight symposia and workshops planned for the event.
He highlighted as a novelty of this edition and in line with the slogan of the conference "Innovative University for a sustainable human development", the process of organizing the event, which includes the online participation of more than 100 works and the issuance of digital certificates, whose Legality can be checked using the bar code.
He added that the University of Holguin transcends in the world of engineering and Education Sciences, which together with the area of foreign languages, constitute an attraction for the exchange of experiences and the exploration of new opportunities that propitiate strategic alliances in the scope of research and its relevance to the sustainable development of society.
Dr.Sc. Marisol Perez Campaña officially opened the event with a conference on Cuban Higher Education and its contribution to sustainable development.
