Expociencia 2019 Begins in Holguin

"Advances in science, technology and innovation as economic foundations for the development of the province of Holguin" is the topic for debate in the 11th Edition of Expociencia, an event that from February 27 to March 1, gathers in the Exhibition Center the scientific community of the eastern Cuban territory.
The event will have the participation of Doctor in Sciences Luis Velazquez Perez, president of the Academy of Sciences of Cuba (ACC) who, as part of the opening day, offered the keynote address "Science in economic and social development. Contributions of the ACC”.
More than 100 entities from all sectors, including the self-employed, show their result from each position of production or services through conferences, workshops, panels, book presentations and multimedia materials, sessions and visits for scientific exchanges.
The event will grant the awards of creativity and innovation and the provincial prize one of sciences of the information to participating entities.
Among the personalities attending Expociencia, is Doctor of Science Juan Triana Cordovi, main researcher of the University of Havana, who will offer a keynote address on "The Cuban economy and the challenges of development. A perspective from science and technology."
