Business exchange boosts supply chains in Holguín

A business forum held in Holguín brought together MSMEs, cooperatives, and entrepreneurs to strengthen the territory’s new productive framework, with a focus on integration and import substitution to build local supply chains.
The meeting, hosted at the Islazul Convention Center in the Pernik Hotel, aimed to incorporate new economic actors into tourism and export value chains, foster dialogue among state entities, private businesses, and foreign investors, and identify concrete opportunities for productive linkages.
Neyvis Moreno Moreno, Director of Development for the Provincial Government, said that the event aligned provincial growth strategies to boost the economy through new actors and facilitated a multi-sector business roundtable to connect local suppliers with potential investors.
During the forum, Madiú Quiroga Gómez, commercial director of Dofimall, highlighted the benefits of the China–Latin America Industrial Park (Picla) platform as a corridor integrating e-commerce, logistics, and financing to replace imports and increase exports without intermediaries; meanwhile, Nelson Martínez López of Servisa underscored linkage opportunities in ice cream and assorted pastry production, among other services.
Convened by the Provincial Government together with the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Foreign Investment, the Chamber of Commerce, the Ministry of Tourism, and the Picla platform, the event also featured the presentation of the 3.H Honor Holguinero Hub, dedicated to marketing, exports, and technological investment in eastern Cuba, creating a space for debate on investment and economic development in Holguín.
