NUMA in Holguín expands food purchase options

The Holguín Food Production and Distribution Company (NUMA) is expanding its range of services through the Alimentos Cuba platform, which allows for retail and wholesale sales to customers.
The initiative arose as a result of coordination between the Ministry of Food Industry and a foreign representative, with the Meat Company serving as coordinator, said Kirenia Balada Peña, director of the Company.
According to Balada, the website accessible at http://iracuba.com, offers various products such as bread and some derivatives, cookies, breadsticks, pasta and pizzas, with wholesale purchasing options for non-state-owned businesses, and retail options for individuals.
Numa receives foreign currency from abroad through its platform sales, with the purpose of acquiring raw materials and introducing new technologies.
The industry is undergoing an improvement process to improve their assortment and customer reach, establishing priorities such as the acquisition of tarps for transporting cookies.
It produces a variety of products, including juices, canned food, ice cream, candies and cookies, as well as cassava and corn derivatives, which allows it to supply gastronomic establishments.
The company has several processing centers and state-owned trading companies throughout the country, and has among its priorities the link with entities aimed at improving the quality of its offerings to the population. (Source: ACN)
