Holguín graphic industry installs modern technology for color printing of press

Cuban light industry’s Empresa Gráfica José Miró Argenter of the province of Holguín, eastern Cuba, will have modern technology for color printing of the national press by the end of the year, specifically starting in December.
This update is part of a technological transformation process in the Cuban graphic industry, with Holguín being the third region after Havana and Villa Clara to receive this investment.
According to Carlos González Mulet, director of the Company, the civil Work is approximately 50 percent complete and during the modernization, traditional newspaper printing continues without interruption.
The new equipment of advanced international technology, will allow high-quality color printing of magazines, books, catalogs, and other materials, he added.
Under the brand name SoyGraf, the Holguín Graphic Unit belongs to the Newspaper Company, and its industrial restructuring will allow for expanded production chains with new economic actors.
This project is part of a national program, resulting from agreements between Cuba and the People's Republic of China, aimed at creating capacities for competitive graphic printing that offers higher product quality in the country. (Source: ACN)
