Charter Flights Russia-Holguin Start

The first charter flight Russia-Holguin arrived on Monday in this Cuban eastern province with more than 300 tourists from Russia. With its arrival to the Frank Pais international airport at 8 o'clock in the morning, the Boeing 777-300 opened the new flight route from the Eurasian nation to Holguin, through the modality of tour package with the airline Nordwind Airlines - created in December 2008 - and the tour operator Pegas Touristik.
The flights will arrive at the Frank País international airport with a frequency of every ten days, in a first stage until the end of March, while the second stage, announced from April to October, will operate an airplane of greater capacity for more than 500 passengers.
After the welcoming, Yadismir Saavedra Pérez, director of the Travel Agency Cubanacán Oriente, informed that most of the new tourists will stay in the hotels Club Amigo Atlántico Guardalavaca (112), Brisas Guardalavaca (96) and facilities of Gaviota.
He said that Viajes Cubanacán is the incoming travel agency for this operation in the Holguin tourist destination. "We have prepared more than a dozen guides who are fluent in the Russian language and designed a portfolio of specific options for this segment, with priority in maritime and nature activities; in addition to overnight to Gibara and Santiago de Cuba and excursions to different sites of interest, including the visit to the Birán Historical Complex and the Salto del Guayabo ".
In previous visit to the province of Holguin, the 20 representatives of the tour operator Pegas Touristik praised the benefits of nature tourism of the territory, beaches and comfort of the hotel plant of more than 5,510 rooms in this destination of eastern Cuba.
Pegas Touristik has a year with direct operations to Cayo Coco and two in Varadero, now ventures into Holguín for the first time.
