Youth networks inserted to Holguín scientific development

The youth networks created by the Ministry of Science, Technology and Environment in the province of Holguín have inserted in the local project for the development and evaluation of the scientific potential.
Yordanka Maite Hernández Osorio, a representative of that body in the territory, indicated to ACN that this initiative aims to involve, from the undergraduate level in the universities, students with interests in innovation, who could be candidates for masters and doctorates.
She said that these students must also have projects associated with the thematic priorities of the science-based government system, including exportable items, renewable energy and food production.
Hernández Osorio pointed out that young workers in the nickel and electric sector also participate in activities of self-improvement, environmental education and open-door events in pre-university schools.
These young scientists also approach the potential of each place to achieve territorial self-sufficiency and the validation of ecosystems, services and opportunities focused on local development.
In this regard, events, talks and panels on these topics are organized by the young academics themselves.
In Holguín, work is being done on professional training, especially in entities such as the Nickel Development and Research Center, where the progress of this parameter is fundamental for the projections of aspiring to the category of high-tech company. (Source: ACN)
