Cuban President begins visit to Holguín province

Miguel Díaz-Canel, First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba (CCPCC) and President of the Republic, began a tour of the eastern province of Holguín today with a visit to the Marcané Porcine Center in the municipality of Cueto.
Local food production aimed at contributing to the self-sufficiency of the town focused the interest of the president, who learned about the contribution of the livestock entity, belonging to the Tecnoazúcar Base Business Unit (UEB), as a fattening center for the sugar sector to which it delivers meat and agricultural products.
During the day, Díaz-Canel also plans to visit communities in the territories of Báguano and Urbano Noris, as part of his tour of several municipalities across the country.
Accompanying the Cuban President are Roberto Morales Ojeda, member of the Political Bureau and Secretary of Organization of the CCPCC; Joel Queipo Ruiz, member of the CCPCC and first secretary of the province; Manuel Francisco Hernández Aguilera, governor of Holguín and other government authorities.
