Holguín education workers show solidarity with Guantanamo residents

Education workers in the eastern territory of Holguín are joining in the solidarity aid to the province of Guantánamo, severely affected by hurricane Oscar.
Luis Felipe Batista Rodríguez, general director of the Holguín education sector, referred to the actions to collaborate with the recovery of this territory and to restore the damage caused by the meteorological event, which passed through the area during the days when the country was experiencing the impact of the energy collapse.
"We have a leading group in the municipality of Moa, which prepares food to take to those affected, a way of sharing what we have with our brothers from Guantanamo," said Luis Felipe. 
Batista Rodríguez also referred to the review of the uniforms in existence and the school materials available to transport them there, and called on the workers of the province, together with the municipal Education departments, to collect basic necessities, everything that can materially help those affected by the passage of Hurricane Oscar.
"This will be our first donation, which we will deliver this Saturday to the Education Department of Guantanamo, with which we maintain communication to learn the details of the damage to the sector and see how we can help," he added.
The EPASE brigade from the municipality of Sagua de Tánamo is also ready to contribute to the repair of the affected schools, a practice that the workers of the Holguín education sector have already carried out in other contingencies experienced in the eastern end of the country.
