Holguín to host VI Gaviota Destinations Tourist Exchange 2024

The VI edition of the Gaviota Destinations Tourist Exchange 2024, a long-awaited annual convention, will be held from October 16 to 20, 2024 in Holguín, with headquarters at the fairgrounds in Playa Pesquero and Ramón de Antilla.
Organized by the Gaviota Tourism Group, with marked leadership in the Cuban tourism sector, the event aims to update its partners on the improvements of their products, openings carried out and extension projects; recover and diversify markets; entertain the best salespeople, tour operators, airlines, hotel chains and journalists who work with the Group.
The event will include the launching of the Ramón de Antilla peninsula as the new vacation tourist destination, in development with an extensive beach with crystal clear waters and abundant white sand, located at the entrance to the Nipe Bay, within sight of the paradisiacal Cayo Saetía, in the municipality of Antilla. The peninsula, located about 100 kilometers northwest of the capital of Holguín, is considered a Protected Natural Landscape.
Tours of the hotels in Holguín, visits and activities in Villa Pinares de Mayarí, Cayo Bariay and Playa Pesquero are among the activities planned for the event. The opening of the Professional Day will be on the 18th, followed by presentations from the hotel chains.
Likewise, on the 19th, the program includes a nautical excursion to Cayo Saetía, a beach party and a Jeep Safari. On the night of October 20 at Plaza Turística Polimita, in Ramón de Antilla, there will be the official closing of Destinos Gaviota 2024 and the launch of the call for 2025.
The Mercosur Travel and Tourism Magazine confirmed its participation in the VI Gaviota Destinations Tourist Exchange 2024. Its director, the Uruguayan Julio César Debali, informed Prensa Latina that the event will be an excellent meeting opportunity between Promotion, Marketing and Sales specialists, sellers , suppliers, partners and specialized press.
He pointed out that this is a very important event for island tourism, which brings together sales and product personnel from the Tour Operators, Airlines, press, and a selection of the best retailers, as well as the top managers (Presidents and Vice Presidents) of the hotel chains that work together with Gaviota.
Destinos Gaviota is the second most important tourism event in Cuba after the International Tourism Fair (FITCuba).
