Cuban PM evaluates progress of socio-economic programs in Antilla

The Cuban Prime Minister Manuel Marrero Cruz on Wednesday toured the municipality of Antilla, in the eastern province of Holguín, to evaluate the progress of programs of economic and social interest in this eastern territory.
The head of Government visited the port of Antilla where he reviewed the government's responses to the concerns of that group raised in his previous visit last March, according to a report by the Cuban television channel “Cubavisión”.
Marrero urged the directors of that entity to continue finding solutions to improve the technical state of naval resources, the repair of docks, among other problems.
Likewise, he called to banish work mechanisms that promote accommodation, bureaucracy and inefficiency in business management with the purpose of taking advantage of the potential of local productive systems.
Accompanying the tour were Joel Queipo Ruiz, first secretary of the Party in Holguín and Manuel Francisco Hernández Aguilera, governor of the province, and political and government authorities of the territory.
