Local Development Fair begins in Holguín

The second edition of the Local Development Fair “We promote the local”, focused on the use of the native resources of the province of Holguín, takes place on April 26 and 27 in this eastern city, as part of the actions to promote trade.
The new economic actors, mini-industries and state-owned companies have joined together with the aim to create alliances and promote quality goods and services, as well as to increase offers to the population.
The event, based at the Expo Holguín Fairgrounds, will also facilitate the creation of exportable items that take advantage of cultural customs and traditions and contribute to their preservation.
The agenda also includes work sessions to promote productive chaining and the substitution of imports through the use of idle inventories in addition to granting use values to these stored items.
This event, convened by the governor of the province Manuel Francisco Hernández Aguilera, will allow the creation of opportunities for community development, through cultural proposals, access to study and sources of employment.
Holguín has more than 500 companies, including state, private and non-agricultural cooperatives, and develops an extensive program to promote the use of local resources in areas such as food production, the use of renewable energy and services dedicated to expanding offers to the population.
