Holguín celebrates Equal Opportunities Day initiative

Representatives of the Cuban Association of People with Intellectual Disabilities (ACPDI) of Holguín participated this Tuesday in a parade for inclusion, regarding Equal Opportunities Day that takes place in the country from November 27 to December 3.
This initiative, which had the support of the National Institute of Sports, Physical Education and Recreation; the Directorate of Education; the House of Culture and the Ruta 96 motorcycle club, also brought together representatives from the ANCI, the ACLFIM and the ANSOC.
“On June 8, the ACPDI was founded at national level and today we have the privilege of having a representation in Holguín, thanks to the efforts of a group of families who made this dream possible. We hope that the provincial branch will be officially established before the end of the year,” said Danae Mouso Díaz, representative of the ACPDI Holguín management group.
The association aims to promote the inclusive development of people with intellectual disabilities, ensure the full exercise of their rights and work hand in hand with their supports and caregivers to achieve their full performance in society.
