Workers from the Lidio Ramón Pérez Thermoelectric Plant and the Power Plant Maintenance Base Business Unit, located in Felton, Mayarí, began planned light maintenance on unit one of that industry on November 20, after 213 days of uninterrupted operation.

The main objectives of the works, scheduled to be completed within 13 days, are to return the unit's availability to 240 MW, reduce the boiler pressure to nominal parameters, and increase the reliability of the block in general.

The maintenance works on the turbine will range from cleaning the condenser to repairing the feed and condensate pumps, along with changing the bushings of the VC01 circulation pump.

The welding area will mainly focus on replacing the hydrazine and ammonia line, crucial for the efficient operation of the boiler.

In electrical terms, the generator brushes will be reviewed and replaced, while the output transformer 1AT01 will be repaired.
In addition, works in the automation sector, including the lacquering of the control system cards will be carried out.

This planned maintenance seeks not only to optimize the performance of Unit One of the Lidio Ramón Pérez Thermoelectric Plant, but also to guarantee its long-term reliability.

The maintenance actions ensure that the infrastructure is in optimal conditions to continue providing a stable and efficient source of energy, especially during the closing months and beginning of the year.
