Residents in Holguín denounce genocide against Palestine

Students, profesors and doctors in Holguín met at the delegation of the Cuban Institute of Friendship with the Peoples (ICAP) in solidarity with the Palestinian people and against the genocide perpetrated by Israel to this Arab country.
At the event, which was attended by the two Palestinian doctors residing in Holguín, Tareq Toame and Wadee Mustafá, participants raised their voices to denounce the violent escalation in the Gaza Strip and reiterated Cuban support for the Palestinian cause.
Tareq Toame, a graduate of the University Of Medical Sciences of Holguín and a student specializing in Ophthalmology, expressed that the aggression against Palestine is unjustified and has caused, since October 7, more than seven thousand deaths and 18 thousand injuries, including children, women and the elderly.
He pointed out that in a war where the most vulnerable are not respected and hospitals, churches and mosques are attacked indiscriminately, the world and the organizations that advocate for peace become blind and he thanked Cuba for the unconditional help always provided to its native country.
The Palestinian-Israeli social and armed conflict, which has been going on for 75 years, is one of the longest and bloodiest in the Middle East, and since 1988 it has caused the loss of more than 13,000 lives, including hundreds of civilians. (Source: ACN)
