The Commander of the Revolution, Ramiro Valdés Menéndez, vice prime minister of the Republic of Cuba, visited this Friday the Heroes del 26 de Julio Mechanical Company (Holmeca), as part of the government visit to this eastern territory.

Joan Abel Palmero Pérez, member of the Provincial Bureau of the Party in Holguín, also attended the meeting with managers of that industry, of vital importance for territorial and national development.

Details were discussed about the current operation of the entity, alternatives to not slow down its progress and future plans in the midst of the complex scenario that the nation is experiencing, as well as the limitations that affect the sector.

To improve efficiency indicators, and thanks to financial self-management, the Holmeca group aims to enhance production chains, increase efficiency in cost management and increase retail sales, among other lines of work.
Some of its development projects and innovations are the Cuban grain harvester, the coffee roaster, and the tobacco semi trailer, which demonstrate the creative capacity of its workers.

Valdés Menéndez urged to work with more ingenuity and not limit the possible uses of devices such as the roaster, since this machine has the capacity to process other grains.

Another goal is to specify the markets for exports and design, consequently, a conception of commercialization of industrial products and services that allows obtaining short-term results.

The commitment of the Mechanical Company workers and the making of timely decisions, which correspond to the demands of the current context, will allow the progress of this reference institution of the Cuban industrial sector, despite the difficulties.
