Holguín authorities tour areas of Mayarí municipality

he member of the Central Committee and first secretary of the Party in Holguín, Ernesto Santiesteban Velázquez, arrived in the municipality of Mayarí with the aim to assess the functioning of different sectors and areas of social impact.
Accompanied by Yunia Pérez Hernández, vice governor, and Dagamar Abad Noa, her counterpart in that municipality, Santiesteban Velázquez visited the agricultural pole of Mayarí, due to its importance for the production of food for the population.
In this sense, it was urged to increase the yields in low-irrigation areas, while the few levels reached in some areas were detected as deficiencies, in which the conditions have not been created to face the cold season, about to start soon.
At the Lidio Ramón Pérez Thermoelectric Power Plant, in Felton, they learned about the behavior of the actions carried out there, which is a primary objective for authorities, due to the role it plays in the stability of the National Electro-energetic System.
Eric Milanés Quinzán, technical director, reported on the stability in generation, which remains at 225 MW, with adequate parameters and values similar to previous months.
They also knew about the process of disassembling the dome and the boiler structures, belonging to Block 2, which is stopped, waiting for the arrival of the necessary implements, in correspondence with the specificities to be taken into account.
In the community of Guatemala, which has presented difficulties with the water supply, measures are undertaken to deal with this problem, which causes discomfort among the population, due to the importance of this vital liquid.
The municipality has 18 tanker trucks, but several are stopped due to technical deficiencies. "All the tankers in the municipality must be based on the population, even those that belong to the productive forms," said Santiesteban Velázquez.
They also toured the residential buildings, which are in the completion process to be delivered to different families, once the infrastructure check is completed to confirm the habitable condition.
After concluding the visit, the delegation advocated promoting creative thinking and a resolute attitude in the face of obstacles, without neglecting control and demand, to promote territorial development, with their own resources.
