Cuban Prime Minister Tour places of interest in Gibara

A representation of the Cuban Government, headed by the Prime Minister, Manuel Marrero, today began a tour of various economic and social objectives of the municipality of Gibara, in Holguín.
According to the Government profile on Twitter, Marrero is accompanied by the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy and Planning, Alejandro Gil; the heads of Agriculture and Construction, Ydael Pérez Brito and René Mesa Villafaña, respectively; as well as the president of the National Institute of Hydraulic Resources, Antonio Rodríguez.
The highest authorities of the province of Holguín and the municipality of Gibara also make up the delegation.
Marrero visited the Sueños de Martí day care center, where he insisted on reviewing the availability of capacities in the center, which has an enrollment of 180 children.
In exchange with the workers, the Prime Minister was intrested on the maintenance works carried out in the institution, the renovation of the internal hydraulic network and the use of the land to contribute to food production.
At the Luis Martínez Almaguer Pre-University, the head of government was interested in the main concerns of the students, related to the quality of the school lunch, the deterioration of the laboratories and the preparation for admission to Higher Education.
During the exchange, Marrero called for strengthening the teaching of History and strengthening the link between students and social institutions.
Likewise, he urged to promote exchanges between the authorities and the students, since permanent dialogue with young people is essential.
The Premier, also a deputy to the Cuban Parliament for that municipality, during the tour learned about the actions carried out by the Community Work Group of constituency 4, of the Gibara People´s Council 1, to respond to the proposals of the voters and address the social problems in the area.
According to the government account, in this community of 802 inhabitants, progress has been made in the construction of a park, the repair of the funeral home and the ice cream factory, as well as the renovation of the agricultural market.
Marrero resumes this activity today, which is part of the Government's work system, after completing an intense agenda in the Russian Federation (from June 6 to 17) in which the ties of friendship and cooperation between both nations were deepened. (Source: ACN)
