ExpoHolguín 2023 Trade Fair announces foreign exhibitors

With confirmation of the participation of businessmen from Canada, Spain, the Dominican Republic and Panama, details are finalized for the ExpoHolguín 2023 Trade Fair, the second most important in eastern Cuba, to be held from April 4 to 7.
At press conference, Gabriel Pérez, director of the Holguín-Las Tunas Delegation of the Chamber of Commerce, pointed out among the novelties of this 16th edition the exchange with businessmen from Canada, guest country to the event and the "Mujeres sin límites" event, in which entrepreneurship experiences will be presented, such as beauty salons, confectionery and manual arts.
The Fair will also promote the expansion of the exportable items of the territory, represented by more than 50 projects from the portfolio of opportunities in branches such as science, agriculture, health, food production and renewable energy, explained Pérez.
It will also promote the exchange with economic actors from Havana, Las Tunas, Granma, Santiago de Cuba and Camagüey, which will have an impact in the development of the eastern zone and a better use of local resources, he added.
Yunia Pérez Hernández, deputy governor of Holguín, highlighted that the event has among its fundamental activities rounds and presentations of businesses and accredited brands, through which business alliances will be created between the actors of the economy.
She noted that the Fair, under the slogan "For Cuba to grow", will have a positive impact on the promotion of the natural, historical and cultural values of this eastern territory, with potential for its conversion into goods and services for the benefit of national development.
So far, she indicated, 45 state companies and 15 mypimes have confirmed their participation, among others, in addition to the sponsorship program, another of the novelties of this edition, which will be based at the ExpoHolguín Fairgrounds.
Convened by the governor of the province, Julio César Estupiñán, and sponsored by the Chamber of Commerce of the Republic of Cuba and the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Foreign Investment, the event will have a space dedicated to the new economic actors in the economy, as well as
to promote the province in national and international platforms, after its suspension in 2020 due to COVID-19, explained the official.
Holguín, the third most densely populated province in Cuba, has more than 350 companies including state, private and non-agricultural cooperatives and develops a broad program to promote foreign investment in food production, the use of renewable energy and confronting the
climate change.
