Cuban Prime Minister visits the municipality of Gibara, in Holguín

Manuel Marrero Cruz, Prime Minister of Cuba, today began a tour of the municipality of Gibara, in the province of Holguín, as part of the exchange program of the candidates for the National Assembly of People's Power (Parliament) with the population.
The tour seeks to strengthen the link with the people, learn about their approaches and suggestions, to advance in solving problems and together make 2023 a better year for the municipality and the country, Marrero Cruz said on Twitter.
According to the Prime Minister, the visit began with a tribute to Commander Camilo Cienfuegos on the 91st anniversary of his birth and and a meeting with Gibara authorities on how to promote local development by further exploiting the potential of the territory.
The candidates for deputies to Parliament, nominated this Sunday, have planned a program of tours to exchange with the population, from today until March 24, with a view to the national elections on March 26.
In the elections, the deputies will be elected for a five-year mandate period, in accordance with the provisions of the Constitution of the Republic and Law No. 127 -Electoral Law-. (Source: ACN)
