Holguín guarantees studies continuity for pre-university graduates

Higher Education in Holguín guarantees the continuity of studies for more than 3,700 students who have graduated from pre-university schools, having completed the entrance exam requirement.
Andrés Barea, head of the Pre-University department in the province, told ACN that of the students who examined Mathematics, 55.8 percent passed; in Spanish, 95.4 and History obtained 86.5, results that can change after the special test for valid reasons and re-qualifications.
Barea added that the teaching-learning process of these students faced readjustments in the study programs during the three school years in the pre-university, the shortest historically in Holguín education, due to the incidence of Covid-19.
All those who finished the twelfth grade have the possibility of entering the university because there is a plan of places greater than the number of graduates that includes careers of the house of higher studies in Holguín and middle and higher level technician, specified Barea.
He added, in addition, that the first granting of careers will be made on December 14 to those who pass the three exams, then with the available careers the offer will be made to those who fail and the more than 400 students who decided not to take the tests will also have the option of admission.
The official also specified that almost 500 direct places were granted in Holguín and this year there will be more than 300 capacities left for the University to deliver to pending applicants from previous courses.
