Implementation of Public Health works progressing in Holguín

A group of investments and institutions under maintenance program in the Public Health sector are prioritized in the province of Holguín, to achieve before the end of 2022 the completion of several works objects, mainly in hospitals.
During the checking of the construction schedule in the sector, the member of the Central Committee and first secretary of the Party in Holguín Ernesto Santiesteban Velázquez, and the Governor of the province Julio César Estupiñán, insisted on the need to determine priorities in each institution, such as the oxygen plants in the three hospitals of the main municipality, which provide territorial coverage.
The main investments include the 5th C Room of the Caumatology Service and the Surgical Unit of the Pedro Fernández Oncology Center, both located in the Lenin hosital, as well as the Intermediate Therapy room and the room for the admission of patients with respiratory conditions of the Octavio de la Concepción de la Pedraja Pediatric Hospital.
Meanwhile, work continues on the Neurophysiology Laboratory, the waterproofing of the roof of the Ophthalmological Center and the laundry at the clinical-surgical hospital Lucía Íñiguez Landín.
Regarding the capital renovation of the 69 Family Doctor and Nurse offices located in prioritized communities of the province; it was known the completion of 44 of them, while 20 are undergoing construction works.
The main authorities of the province called on investors and suppliers to manage the resources, to avoid unnecessary delays in construction.
