Health Award 2022 to be delivered in Holguín

A total of 26 works opt for the Annual Provincial Health Award-2022, which on June 3 will be defended before the jury made up of scientific personalities from the territory.
Four applied research projects, nine theses, eight scientific articles, three books, one applied innovation and one scientific work by a student are participating in this edition of the main competition for professionals in the sector, to add 26 titles that respond to the lines of research planned by the National Council of Scientific Societies.
As on other occasions, most of the works under discussion address the Spinocerebellar Ataxia Type 2, while other works deal with the pandemic, such as the Protocol for the management of the Psychological Safety of Health personnel in the health emergency by COVID -19, an applied research of the master Ana Karina Gutiérrez Álvarez.
Likewise, other topics are new in this type of event, including those related to study results at the Regional Center for Care of the Infertile Couple, which has two master's theses competing this time.
The call for the event included all modalities, doctors, stomatologists, psychologists, graduates in nursing and health technology, pharmacists, biochemists, biologists, engineers, economists and other professionals in the sector, as well as students of medical sciences.
The works in competition were completed in the period between January 1, 2019 and December 31, 2021.
According to the normative document of this scientific event, all the awarded works in the province of Holguín will compete at the national level, after being registered in the period established in the schedule.
