Holguin People Prepare for May Day Celebration

Photo: visiondesdecubaUnder the slogan "Unity, Commitment and Victory" about 500 thousand residents in Holguin will parade on May 1st to celebrate the International Workers' Day and the unity of the Cuban people.
Parades will start at 7:00 am across this eastern territory. The main celebration will take place at Plaza de la Revolución Mayor General Calixto García of Holguin, where 15 labor unions will parade together with the political leadership of the province, the Association of Combatants of the Cuban Revolution and the Young Communists League.
Among the unions, the agricultural and forestry workers will lead the march together with the National Association of Small Farmers. The workers belonging to the union of Civil Defense will close the parade.
On the occasion of the celebrations for the International Workers' Day, collateral activities will take place, such as the granting of the flag to the Contingent 80th Anniversary of the Cuban Workers Federation, composed of young people ready to support key tasks of production, services and the recovery of properties affected by climatological events.
