Textile industry diversifies production in Holguin

With the preparation of a wide range of butchery products, the Yamarex Confections Base Business Unit (UEB) in the province of Holguín expands its assortments, as part of the improvement programs of that state entity.
Among the articles stand out rugs, napkins, pot holders, cup holders, bags marketed to the population through the network of trade stores, without abandoning the manufacture of school uniforms, the main social order of the industry, through the delivery of more of 400 thousand physical units per year.
Idalmis Patiño, head of the business department of that entity, specified that this line classifies within the so-called cleaner productions because it is in harmony with the environment and contributes to the optimal use of existing resources, in the midst of the global crisis caused by the COVID-19.
She stressed that the smallest pieces are also used in the manufacture of masks and ropes, also included in the variety of offers from the UEB, which has four workshops located in the municipalities of Banes, Gibara and the provincial capital.
She explained that Yamarex also makes work clothes, sarongs, men's dress shirts, women's blouses and garments for the development of tourism, among them, the curtains of the rooms of the Hotel Albatros, located in Playa Guardalavaca, one of the main destinations tourism in eastern Cuba.
This entity, belonging to Confecciones Boga, has the Ministries of Internal Trade, the Revolutionary Armed Forces, Public Health, Azcuba, as its main clients for whom it produces uniforms, lingerie and other demands.
