Within the framework of the day for the Cuban Press Day, the multimedia studio for the production of audiovisuals was inaugurated today, located in the Holguin correspondent office of the Cuban News Agency (ACN), located in the central Frexes street of the eastern town.
Juan Pablo Carreras Vidal, promoter of this project and photojournalist with extensive experience in ACN's information services, explained the potential of the modern installation for the generation of content while at the same time it means a challenge in the ways to reach new audiences from streaming video.
The inaugural broadcast of this informative space was shared live by the digital platforms of ACN, where Edda Diz Garcés, general director of this medium, expressed that the study from Holguin constitutes the first of a national project aimed at new forms of content and economic management for the press in Cuba.
Within the new forms of economic management, Carreras Vidal pointed out the inclusion in the future of videoconferencing services, professional studio sessions for videographers and photographers, as well as for advertising and promotional content that require digital production technologies.
Ernesto Santiesteban Velázquez, member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba and first secretary of the political organization in the province, affirmed that from here it will be possible to create more visually attractive materials for digital platforms and reach different audiences, mainly young people.
The new multimedia headquarters of the ACN also becomes a teaching laboratory to enable the creation of projects with a contemporary visual bill destined for social networks developed by journalism students, professionals from the union and other actors of Cuban civil society.
Various entities from Holguín participated in the construction of the study, such as the Fund for Cultural Assets and the Eddy Suñol Cultural Complex, as well as the support of the highest political and government authorities in Holguín.
During the day for the Day of the Cuban Press, established in homage to the founding of the newspaper Patria by José Martí, recognitions were given to professionals from Holguin and the provincial prize for the Abraham Portuondo Life Work awarded to the journalist Lourdes Pich Rodríguez, of the weekly AHORA!
The inauguration was also attended by Julio César Estupiñán Rodríguez, governor of the eastern province, among other political and government leaders. /Aldia
