The rude statements made by US President Joseph Biden against his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin will have a negative impact on bilateral relations, said the vice president of the Federation Council (Senate), Konstantin Kosachev.

The Russian lawmaker pointed out that the call for consultations in Moscow to the Russian ambassador to the United States, Anatoli Antonov, may not be the last reaction from the Kremlin if the U.S. side does not apologize.

'Such statements are unacceptable under any circumstances and inevitably drastically exacerbate our bilateral relations,' Kosachev wrote on his Facebook page.

He recalled that during a television interview Biden answered affirmatively to a journalist's question as to whether he considers the Russian president a murderer.

'This is a turning point. Any expectation of a new policy from the new US administration regarding Russia has been canceled by this rude statement,' he said. 'Such assessments, in principle, are not permissible in the mouth of a statesman of such rank.'

The secretary of the General Council of the United Russia party, Andrei Turchak, spoke out saying that the words of the president of the of the US constitute a challenge for the whole country.

Turchak, who is also the first vice president of the Council of the Russian Federation, told the TASS news agency that Biden's pronouncement highlights 'the political morass of the United States and the age-related dementia of its leader. This is a degree extreme of impotence aggression'.
