Holguín University convenes Scientific Communication contest

The University of Holguín convenes the first edition of the Scientia Maxima Scientific Communication contest, which aims to socialize the main scientific research results of the institution and recognize those who promote university science.
MsC. Lisneth Rodríguez Hernández, director of Institutional Communication of the University, said that the contest is a way to promote spaces to communicate science as a distinctive element of university work and its contribution to the development of the territory.
She added that the event will include three categories: journalists, communicators and students of related careers; Professors, researchers, university students and the recent graduate and entities and media of the territory, each with its own particular requirements.
Rodríguez Hernández said that the participants will be able to compete on topics related to physical-sports activity, improvement of educational processes and organizational management, local development and the metalworking industry, computerization of processes, products and services, development of Social, Humanistic, Natural and Exact Sciences and innovation for sustainable development.

"The translation of the name of the contest, written in Latin, is especially science, conceived from the link it has with the UHo brand, so it represents a stimulus for those who develop scientific activity ", said José Enrique Agüero, president of the Association of Social Communicators of the province, co-sponsor of the contest together with the Union of Journalists of Cuba.
