Italian volunteers participating in Soberana Plus-Turin clinical trials arrive in Cuba

The young Italian researcher Fabrizio Chiodo was in charge of selecting the subjects for the joint study at Amedeo di Savoia Hospital in the Italian city of Turin, whose names he does know since, in accordance with ethical standards, "They were just numbers," he explained to Prensa Latina.
Age, weight, previous illnesses and allergies, among other parameters were considered to select a homogeneous, healthy group, from among those aspiring to participate in the study, meant to determine the effectiveness of Soberana Plus - developed by Cuba’s Finlay Vaccine Institute - as a booster in persons immunized with other anti-Covid vaccines authorized in Italy.
The volunteers were administered a the dose of Soberana Plus at La Pradera International Health Center, after their blood samples were analyzed by Cuban institutions, in a procedure similar to analyses conducted at by the Amedeo di Savoia Hospital’s Microbiology and Virology Lab. /Granma
