Holguín: National poetry contest convened

The Center for the Promotion and Development of Literature, the Provincial Center for Book and Literature and Ediciones Holguín publishing house in Holguín, convene the Adelaida del Mármol National Poetry Prize in its 18th edition.

Along with the data of the author, participants must send the title of the work, name and surname, pseudonym, identity number, telephone, email and a brief bibliography card, González explained.
He added that the contest is open to all Cuban writers residing in the country, who must present an unpublished book with a free subject and an extension between 60 and 80 pages.
Interested persons have the opportunity to send their works until October 15, which will be later evaluated by a prestigious jury, whose decision will be announced during the Ibero-American Culture Festival to be held from 24 to 28 October online.
The Award includes the publication of the text by Ediciones Holguín, with its respective payment of copyright in the first edition and three thousand pesos in national currency, he added.
Participation implies full acceptance of the rules, which is why those works that do not meet the requirements will be disqualified, explained the specialist.
The "Adelaida del Mármol" contest emerged in 1989 and since then, prominent writers such as Lourdes González, Roberto Manzano, Luis Yuseff and José Luis Serrano have won the award.
