A theoretical forum dedicated to post-production services, with representatives of Estudios Churubusco Azteca S.A. was held in Gibara, as part of the activities for the 18th International Film Festival taking place in this coastal city of Holguín province.

In a debate led by Mexican filmmakers Claudia Covarrubias and César Rattoni, and Argentine film director Federico Jacobi, they discussed the importance of these events to bring cinematographic works closer to the public, promote and support films, as well as vindicate the joint work of the studios.

They highlighted the relevance of films festivals, through which new collaborations can be achieved, in addition to the pleasant surprises that occur in cultural exchanges, with new creative visions from each country.

The filmmakers presented the film El Arranque, an Argentine and Mexican co-production directed by Federico Jacobi, which emerged at the Guadalajara International Film Festival, in a section of films in progress.

The film's screening revealed the theater's legacy in the way the plot unfolds, where confessions, insults and complaints typical of Argentine slang occur through medium and close-ups of the three protagonists.

The film's director also highlighted the importance of sound in the way the story is told, the mixture of the sound of insects, breathing, the rustling of clothes, footsteps, the matches of a cigarette box from one side to the other, all of which are immersive elements for the plot.

Churubusco Studios is a space that offers comprehensive services for world cinematography, thanks to its infrastructure, location and human talent, many of the jewels of cinema from the Mexican and Hollywood golden age. With almost 79 years of history full of stories, the studios have become the meeting point for the Latin American audiovisual and cinematographic community.
