Holguin Book Fair Begins

The 27th edition of the Book Fair begins on Wednesday in the eastern Cuban city of Holguin, with more than 400 titles, 98, 000 copies and the presence of 12 Cuban publishing houses.
The event, dedicated to the Cuban historian Eusebio Leal, features China as a guest of honor and will mark the 50th anniversary of the publication of the book of poems "Lenguaje de mudos", by local writer Delfin Prats.
Among the literary proposals stand out the children's book " Habia una vez "; the book "Con dos que se quieran dos", based on the homonymous television program conducted by Amauris Perez; "Hasta siempre, Fidel", which summarizes texts and photographs of the funeral honors of the Commander in Chief, and the critical edition of the novel "Jardin", by Dulce Maria Loynaz.
The opening gala will take place in Plaza de la Marqueta.
The program of the Fair will open with the panel "The current narrative in Cuba. Itinerary of an Island ".
