After three days of intense work and virtual exchange, the 15th edition of the Ibero-American Congress of Thought concluded on Tuesday in the city of Holguín, considered the one with the largest call in the history of the event, inserted in the Ibero-American Culture Festival.
“The challenge has been great. We received several requests from congressmen who traditionally participate, interested in developing the meeting. There was an increase in the number of participants, with a figure of 390 in the different modalities”, said to the local newspaper ¡ahora! Bárbara Martínez Pupo, president of the organizing committee for the Congress.
“It is in this meeting where the theoretical conceptions that expand the central idea of the Festival emerge, from the cultural and artistic point of view. It makes possible to expand the message of researchers across the world”, she said.
Considered the backbone of one of the most important events in Holguín and Cuba, the Congress of Thought brought together researchers, professors and intellectuals from various countries through digital platforms.
It concluded with a forum about the role of social networks in exchange and communication in times of confinement.
The 26th edition of the Ibero-American Culture Festival, which takes place from October 24 at its usual headquarters, will conclude on the 28th with a show that will be broadcast from Cayo Bariay with the performance of the Holguín Dance Company Codanza and the local singer Norberto Leyva.
