Activists and friends of Cuba will soon stage vigils in cities in Canada, the United States and other parts of the world to call on Washington to end the blockade imposed against the island.

Cuba's National Assembly of People's Power, on its last day of debates this Wednesday, will have a moment dedicated to the Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our America-People's Trade Agreement (ALBA-TCP).

For years, the U.S. agricultural sector has defended trade ties between Cuba and the United States, said members of the U.S. Agricultural Coalition for Cuba during a meeting with diplomats from the island.

The National Assembly of People's Power (ANPP), approved on Tuesday the Law on Expropriation for reasons of public utility or social interest, a provision that perfects the current legal regime of this measure of the State in favor of collective interests.
