Cuba is living under the constant siege of the United States government, whose escalating threats have intensified in recent months. In addition to the brutal energy embargo, which exacerbates the genocidal blockade policy of the last six decades, there are declarations by representatives of the US government elite regarding intentions of military aggression.
Thousands of Cubans gathered on Thursday in Havana to commemorate the 65th anniversary of the proclamation of the socialist character of the Revolution, reaffirm its anti-imperialist stance amidst repeated threats of aggression from the U.S., and express their determination to defend the revolutionary project with their lives if necessary.
