Cuba: Diaz-Canel insists on discipline to fight against Covid-19

Cuba's President Miguel Diaz-Canel insisted this Friday on social responsibility and discipline of the population as vital actions to fight against Covid-19 disease in the country.
To the extent that we understand our responsibility to others, we can confront this pandemic, reiterated the president during a meeting to analyze the plan of action to fight against the novel coronavirus, reported the television.
Diaz-Canel warned of the presence of children and youngsters in the streets and called for them to seize the day and study.
He also recommended that each local government enables
telephones and other ways of communication to respond to people's concerns in the face of this situation.
In the meeting, Health Minister Jose Angel Portal said that over 4 million people have been visited, of which 521,000 are elderly.
Cuban authorities stressed the role of communities in the current work of prevention of Covid-19 disease.
This Thursday, there were 10 new confirmed Covid-19 cases, caused by SARS-CoV-2 virus, for 67 afflicted patients in Cuba. / PL
