BioCen guarantee Interferon production for Covid-19 disease treatment

The National Bioprepared center that is locally known as BioCen has among its guidelines to create and developing emerging, supplements and biotech products for their applications through specialized medical treatments that help improving the patient´s life quality.
That scientific industrial center is responsible of the ending process and providing containers for the Alfa 2B Recombinante medicine that has shown an effective result about the Covid-19 treatment.
That medicine, which was elaborated at the local Engineering and Biotech Center, is concluded at the Parentales 2 Production Center that is one of the five ones of the BioCen center.
Technological equipment coming mainly from Europe, and a group of engineers and chemical technicians guarantee the daily supply by the related trade institutions until 70.000 interferon units. However, the BioCen’s staff is planning to increase that production in the upcoming days due to the growing of the people´s demand in terms of that product.
“We began using a new fill line that will be used. It is estimated it will be ready and we will be able to increase its Liquid Interferon production capacity up to 100.000 daily ones.”The Production director of BioCen Gabriel González García stated.”
The visual inspection is of the phases by which the BioCen´s Interferon is going through, and it is handmade, semi-automatic and automatic handmade through very efficient machines and technicians.
Humberto Pérez de la Concepción who is the chief of the local Parentales Production centers in that institution, explained that those devices could not have any kind of visible particles, and that is why, those considered by the operators and equipment as deficient ones are taken away.
The anti-viral actions caused by the Alfa 2B Recombinante product have been proven since 1982, according to Tamara Lobaina Rodríguez, who is the general principal of BioCen. That is why, the related technical and organizing actions are organized to fulfill the task announced by the Public Health Ministry before the situation generated through the Covid-19 outbreak in the nation and in the world. / Radio Rebelde
