Raúl and Díaz-Canel preside over in Bayamo the main event for the National Rebellion Day. Photo: @PresidenciaCubaArmy General Raúl Castro Ruz, First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba, and Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez, President of the Councils of State and Ministers, preside over the national celebration for July 26, on the occasion of the celebration 66th anniversary of the assault on the Moncada and Carlos Manuel de Céspedes barracks.
The Second Secretary of the Central Committee of the Party, José Ramón Machado Ventura, and Esteban Lazo Hernández, president of the National Assembly of People’s Power, as well as members of the Political Bureau, the Secretariat and the Councils of State and Ministers, and Federico Hernández Hernández , first secretary of the Party in the province, attend the political-cultural ceremony in the Plaza de la Patria of the city of Bayamo.
Party and government representatives, the Union of Young Communists, mass organizations, the University Student Federation, the Association of Combatants of the Cuban Revolution, the Revolutionary Armed Forces, together with brigades and solidarity groups and friends of Cuba, and a representation of the people of Gran Canaria are also attending the celebration.
