All Voices against the Helms-Burton Law

More than 400 personalities of the world denounced in an international pronouncement the activation of title III of the Helms-Burton Law of the United States against Cuba, publishes today Granma newspaper. The note states that according to Telesur, the communique, which circulates under the name of Respect for international legality, states that such application seriously deepens the economic, commercial and financial blockade against Cuba.
It also reports that the United States has once again broken the elementary rules of International Law by imposing an extraterritorial nature on an internal law.
The document indicates that its activation marks a clear regression in the normalization of diplomatic relations between both countries, agreed in 2014 by Raúl Castro and Barack Obama.
"We call on American society, and citizens, peoples and governments of the world, of any political sign, to express their rejection of this measure that affects the respect and friendship that should prevail among nations," the text reads.
The signatories also demand the president of the United States, Donald Trump, to eliminate this section and finally end the unjust blockade against Cuba for 60 years. «Neither blockades nor walls. The planet is one and is of all and all ».
