Cuba Promotes Nature and Culture in Russian Tourism Fair

Cuba will highlight its natural beauty and cultural heritage at the 26th edition of the International Tourism Fair MITT 2019, an event that will be held from March 12 to 14, in Moscow, Russia.
The delegation will be chaired by the Minister of Tourism, Manuel Marrero, and will be made up of representative from Cubanacan, Ecotur and Cubatur Travel Agencies, Islazul's, Cubanacan's and Gran Caribe's Hotel Groups, as well as associates from Iberostar, Roc Hotels, Barcelo, Melia, Accor , Blue Diamond, among others.
In 2018, Russia remained among the 10 leading markets for visitors to Cuba, exceeding the figure of 137,000 tourists, and was, in turn, the fastest growing in this main group, the Ministry of Tourism reported in press handout.
Pinar del Rio, Havana, Varadero, the Keys, Trinidad / Cienfuegos and Holguin remain the most preferred Cuban destinations for Russian tourists, who continue to bet on sun and beach products, natural beauties and cultural heritage of this beautiful island.
In the framework of ITB, participants will be summoned to the 39th edition of the International Tourism Fair FitCuba 2019 (May 6 to 11), which will have Spain as the guest country.
It will be dedicated to events and meeting of incentives and its venue will be in Havana, in the framework of the 500th Anniversary of the foundation of Cuba's capital.
Last week a Cuban delegation, led by Marrero, showed the island's main attractions at the 53rd edition of the ITB International Tourism Fair 2019, which took place in Berlin, Germany. / PL
