President Nicolas Maduro, faced with repeated military threats by the US Government against Venezuela, called for global solidarity to demand an end to the pressures which continue to affect Venezuela.

The President reiterated to his US counterpart, Doland Trump that the country will not surrender to imperialism and will continue its road to peace with dignity.

'Washington sends rockets and takes money from others, why doesn't Trump help the 40 million poor people in the United States without housing, education, work or health' , the Venezuelan Head of State asked.

During a work meeting to revitalize agricultural activity, Maduro called on the people to join the signature campaign against interventionism organized in every Bolivar square of the country.

'Once again, the US President has threatened Venezuela with military intervention and I urge the whole world to show solidarity', he said. Maduro denounced the boycott by the White House to block the importation of corn seeds into Venezuela, which he described as a crime against society.

However, the nation has all the conditions to make a great productive leap, it is a current need, he emphasized. Trump and his Colombian counterpart, Ivan Duque, ratified at a meeting held in Washington on Wednesday their points of agreement regarding actions against Venezuela.

Trump, in statements to the press, confirmed he does not rule out a military action against Caracas, in response to a question about the possible sending of 5,000 soldiers to Colombia, according to the text leaked a few days ago in John Bolton's notebook. / PL
