Third Business Forum for Foreign Investment in Cuba

Photo: Radio RebeldeAbout 50 countries have confirmed their participation in the Third Business Forum for the foreign investment in Cuba, which will take place from October 30th to 31st this year , in the framework of the XXXVI Havana International Fair.
According to Debora Rivas Saavedra, General Director for the Foreign Investment at the Foreign Trade Ministry, through a digital platform the foreign businessmen may establish a contact from the country where they lay, for requesting an agenda to arrive to Cuba, with the sectors to visit in accordance to their interests.
Rivas Saavedra explained that Cuba is interested in those inversions which answer to the interests of the country, that protect sovereignty and heritage, and at the same time contribute to increase exports, import substitution and generate productive chains to achieve a structured economy that grows in a harmonic way.
During its first experience in an event like the Business Forum for the foreign investment in Cuba, the business and investment promotion entity of Colombia abroad (PRO-Colombia), with an office recently established in Cuba, will search to improve and promote the economic and commercial relations of that country with the caribbean island .
Elba Lucia Pacheco, Plenipotentiary Minister of the Embassy of Colombia in Cuba affirmed that the island represents an important source of inversions for her country, due to the opening of new opportunities for businessmen during the latest years.
With the promotion of investments in its three modes: mixed, the one of foreign capital, and the contracts of international economic association, the Third Business Forum for foreign investment in Cuba aims to exceed the 295 meetings pre-established between potentials and foreign investors and Cuban enterprises, held last year. / Radio Rebelde
